Your policy, explained in plain words
Upload a policy you already have. Policy Iris reads it and builds a Policy X-Ray: a short, clear summary where every fact points back to its page.

Give your consent
Before any upload, we explain in plain words what we'll do with your policy and ask you to agree. We keep a record of what you agreed to and when.

Add the PDF your insurer sent, or a clear photo of each page. Every file is checked for viruses and stored encrypted in India.
Iris reads it, a person checks it
Iris finds the key terms. During the beta, a founder reviews every X-Ray before you see it. If something is unclear, we tell you instead of guessing.

See what's covered, what isn't, and the key dates and amounts. Tap any fact to open the page it came from.

Policies we'll explain first
We're starting with a small set of insurers. If your policy isn't supported yet, we'll tell you.
Life
Term, term with return of premium, endowment and ULIP (a policy that mixes insurance with market investment), plus riders (extra cover added to a policy). Guaranteed amounts are shown apart from those that can change. We don't project returns.
Health
Who is covered, the sum insured, room-rent limits, co-pay, waiting periods and exclusions (things the policy won't pay for).
Personal accident
What counts as an accident, the payouts for death or disability, and what is left out.
Motor
Third-party and own-damage cover, add-ons, the deductible and the insured declared value (IDV, roughly what the vehicle is insured for).
What Policy Iris won't do
We explain your policy. Decisions stay with you, and your insurer has the final word on claims.
- Recommend buying, switching, surrendering or cancelling a policy
- Rank or compare insurers and products
- Project returns or bonuses, or calculate what a policy will be worth
- Decide whether a claim will be paid
- Sell insurance or pass your details to anyone who does
