Privacy notice

This notice covers the Policy Iris website and the beta sign-up lists. The beta app, where you'll upload policies, will have its own privacy policy, which you'll see and agree to before any upload.
What we collect
When you join a beta list, we collect:
- Policyholders: your name, email, the policy types you tick, and whether you'd like a feedback call, and whether you'd like our newsletter.
- Advisors: your name, email, the kind of work you do, your city, whether you'd like a feedback call, and whether you'd like our newsletter.
Only name and email are required. We don't ask for policy documents, ID numbers, health details or bank details, and we ask you not to send them.
This website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies, and it doesn't load third-party tracking scripts.
Why we collect it
- To invite you to the beta and email you about it
- To understand what people want help with, so we build the right things first
- To arrange a feedback call, if you asked for one
- To email you new Policy Iris guides, only if you ticked the newsletter box
We don't sell, rent or share your details with insurers, agents or advertisers.
Where it's stored
The website and its forms are hosted by Netlify, Inc. Form entries are stored on Netlify's systems, which may be outside India. Only the Policy Iris founders can see them.
To send emails, we copy your name, email and the lists you joined (beta, advisor, newsletter, feedback call) to Kit, our email service (Kit.com, Inc.), which may also store them outside India. Your optional answers stay in Netlify. Like most email services, Kit records whether an email was opened or a link was clicked, so we can tell what's useful. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until the beta list is no longer needed, or until you ask us to remove them, whichever comes first. [To confirm: retention period.]
